Riddle for You
August, 2021
Because I had surgery on my broken, right arm, I cannot type as quickly as usual. My choices are to dictate or hunt and peck with my left hand. i cannot currently use my right hand due to my sling cast. So, for August, I am sharing a lipogram puzzle I created previously for a writing club newsletter.
Answers are at the bottom. In this lipogram riddle, please determine the missing letter, and determine the words described which contain that letter. Also, name the work and the writer of a book which does not contain the letter ‘e.’
The first person to email the most correct answers to Cuethelight@cox.net (not by reply to this newsletter) will win one of my books. The answers will be revealed in my September , 2021, newsletter.

I think the fortune is a bit of sarcastic humor— the opposite of the advice to stop and smell the roses along the way.
